Dominican Republic – Compassion International
An update as of September 2023: Hearts are opening up to Christ, and several people have embraced Him as their Savior. The construction of both the church and the compassion center is nearing completion. Our team on the ground in the Dominican Republic has been experiencing God’s blessings throughout the construction process. They’ve learned to lean on God more deeply and have found immense joy in serving this beautiful community. Pray for more hearts to accept God’s call and welcome Jesus into their lives, for increased community integration, fostering unity and love, and for the success of the fencing project, yard development, and the creation of a playground. Your contributions are making a profound impact!
East Africa - Avant
This ministry is focused on training up church leaders and reaching unreached people groups living in remote areas with the Gospel. This S2 Worker Family teaches foundations of faith and evangelism through acts of love and service to the community. Their core focus is on the Word of God and equipping believers to read, understand, and share the Word within their communities. They also strive to improve the quality of physical life through Farming God’s Way, natural medicine, and basic health education.
Aurora - Lucy Bruser
Lucy Bruser serves “the least of these” in Aurora, CO. Lucy joined Global Service Associates (GSA) with the goal of more intently aligning her ministry efforts with God’s calling to evangelism, discipleship, and building up and equipping the Body of Christ through street evangelism/outreach as well as networking and collaborating with area local churches. For example, she is currently providing evangelism training to the youth at a Nepali refugee church and kicked off the training in February focusing on 1) The Great Commandment, 2) the Great Commission, and 3) The Power of Prayer in our life and ministry.
Navajo Nation - Joei Charley
Joei reaches out to her people, young and old, with the Gospel and builds relationships with Navajo families in her community. Meeting one-on-one she encourages them, shares the Gospel, and prays with them. Every other week, she meets with the Navajo Elderlies in the Chinle Nursing Home for a hour long service time of singing Navajo hymns, prayer, and a message. She also leads weekly kid and teen nights playing outdoor games and teaching the Word.

Global – Geoff & Fiona
They focus on the establishment of critical partnerships between mission organizations and churches around the world to engage in the Great Commission. Attention is given primarily to mobilizing a missions force that is truly global and they work to see doors open for missionaries from every country in the world to be able to serve in every country in the world, and for people in every country of the world to be praying for every other country.
Global – Karen Hardin
Karen serves with the Center for Mission Mobilization with a vision to ignite mission movements to the unreached by targeting areas of the global south that have a huge Christian presence, but where believers have little ownership of their own role in God’s mission. Karen serves with Weave, the family mobilization team, to cast vision through international training events for the role that family units can play in God’s mission, creating resources to help parents disciple their children into God’s mission at home, and partnering with and coaching local leaders who can multiply the vision across their region.
Ireland – Russ & Denise Kerstetter
Russ and Denise are part of a WorldVenture church planting team in Ireland working in youth ministry and with young adults in their church. Of all English speaking countries in the world, Ireland has the fewest evangelical Christians. Russ and Denise were called to Ireland to reach the lost, disciple the saved, and help establish a sustainable youth ministry.
Global – Mark & Ruth Lans
Based here in the U.S., Mark will support the global work of SIM with the role of Engaging Universities – TEFL Coordinator leading, encouraging, equipping and resourcing, envisioning and building a team amongst workers on the ground who are engaging the university through teaching English as a second language. They also work at Rio Grande Bible Ministries training and mobilizing those called to overseas missions in Bible and Ministry Education.
Ecuador – David & Rocio Martinez
David and Rocio are planting and strengthening rural churches in southern Ecuador. They carry out different activities with children and women, but the main task is to disciple and train people from the community to establish leaders in their own churches. During this time of COVID, there have been several problems in families, Christian and non-Christian, including domestic abuse, economic problems, and depression. This has opened the doors for them and been a good opportunity to counsel and share God’s love with these families.
Global – David & Kathy North
David and Kathy provide equipping options for workers heading into various contexts around the world to start churches and make disciples. They meet with different individuals and teams to coach and enable them to discover and use best practices in reaching the lost, making disciples, and establishing new churches. They also lead an Evangelistic Bible study group with Internationals in South Carolina.
Sierra Leone - Don & Joyce Osman
LEAD Africa is reaching and transforming communities in Sierra Leone through schools and educational programs for disadvantaged children, women’s outreach programs, mentoring and coaching initiatives, and leadership development programs for church and community leaders. The American Montessori Leadership Academy and Excellence in Christian Leadership training programs are two of their flagship programs. The American Montessori Leadership Academy is an elementary school in Sierra Leone with 91 students and 13 staff. This has provided multiple opportunities to share the Gospel and disciple people. All of this has lead to church planting. In February 2023, the Osmans launched Kingdom Connections Center to share the hope of Jesus with Muslims and internationals in Freetown.
