Dominican Republic – Compassion International

An update as of September 2023: Hearts are opening up to Christ, and several people have embraced Him as their Savior. The construction of both the church and the compassion center is nearing completion. Our team on the ground in the Dominican Republic has been experiencing God’s blessings throughout the construction process. They’ve learned to lean on God more deeply and have found immense joy in serving this beautiful community. Pray for more hearts to accept God’s call and welcome Jesus into their lives, for increased community integration, fostering unity and love, and for the success of the fencing project, yard development, and the creation of a playground. Your contributions are making a profound impact!

Global – Karen Hardin
Weave

Karen serves with the Via with a vision to ignite mission movements to the unreached by targeting areas of the global south that have a huge Christian presence, but where believers have little ownership of their own role in God’s mission. Karen serves with Weave, the family mobilization team, to cast vision through international training events for the role that family units can play in God’s mission, creating resources to help parents disciple their children into God’s mission at home, and partnering with and coaching local leaders who can multiply the vision across their region.

Ecuador – David & Rocio Martinez
SIM

David and Rocio are planting and strengthening rural churches in southern Ecuador. They carry out different activities with children and women, but the main task is to disciple and train people from the community to establish leaders in their own churches. During this time of COVID, there have been several problems in families, Christian and non-Christian, including domestic abuse, economic problems, and depression.  This has opened the doors for them and been a good opportunity to counsel and share God’s love with these families.

Sierra Leone - Don & Joyce Osman
LEAD Africa

LEAD Africa is reaching and transforming communities in Sierra Leone through schools and educational programs for disadvantaged children, women’s outreach programs, mentoring and coaching initiatives, and leadership development programs for church and community leaders. The American Montessori Leadership Academy and Excellence in Christian Leadership training programs are two of their flagship programs. The American Montessori Leadership Academy is an elementary school in Sierra Leone with 91 students and 13 staff.  This has provided multiple opportunities to share the Gospel and disciple people. All of this has lead to church planting. In February 2023, the Osmans launched Kingdom Connections Center to share the hope of Jesus with Muslims and internationals in Freetown.

Middle East

Our Workers returned to the Middle East in 2023 to help launch a new center serving marginalized people through adult education, a medical program, and entrepreneurship trainings and opportunities. They labor to see disciple making movements.

Africa

God has provided this family the opportunity to combine their passions in sports, Jesus, and the nations by serving in Africa. Through leading a sports program, they have a natural means of both relationship building and disciple making in a context that is otherwise closed off to the Gospel.
