There are a variety of different Life Skills classes and Support Groups that we offer on a rotating basis. Here is what we have coming up next!
Family Discipleship
Sunday mornings, Jan 26-Mar 9, 9:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m.
Have you ever wondered what it means to disciple your children in the Christian faith? Knowing that parenting can be the most stressful, fun, messy, and beautiful thing we can do in life, our aim is to equip you with practical tools for walking with your kids on a journey of faith in your household. This 7-week class is designed to help you establish a sustainable rhythm of time, moments, and milestones as you raise your children and to teach them what it means to live as Christ’s followers.
More Mentoring Workshop
Tuesday, June 4 from 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. in the Summit Room.
Every woman desires to be seen and heard. There is no better way to get through this journey than to do it together and with prayer. If you’ve ever thought about being a mentor, join us for this workshop. Nancy Lindgren offers practical tools and encouragement for mentoring other women to enjoy experiencing connection. Mentoring guides will be available for purchase at the workshop.
Teammates for Life
Thursday Nights | Sept 19-Oct 24 | 6:30 – 8:00 p.m.
Marriage is of God and reveals a wonderful truth about God. It is the deepest and potentially the most gratifying of all human relationships. But, it’s also one of the most demanding and difficult, requiring great effort and commitment. Come join other couples as we explore and discover God’s design for marriage and what it means to be Teammates for Life. Topics include Marital Oneness, Grace in Marriage, Communication & Conflict, Sexual & Emotional Intimacy, and Understanding Expectations. Cost: $25 per couple.
DivorceCare
DivorceCare is a safe place where caring people come alongside you as you find healing from the pain of separation or divorce. At this 13-week, video-based support group program, you’ll find helpful counsel to manage the emotional turmoil and practical tools for decision-making. While we don’t offer DivorceCare here at FBC, there are several churches in the area that do. To look for a group in the area, click below.
