Fourth through Sixth graders are now 'Ascent'!
This year, we have a new curriculum just for this special age group. We will spend the first half of the year learning about apologetics (what, where, why, when, and how), worldviews, some common misconceptions that people have, and we will begin a series on how we can know the Bible is true and reliable. After Christmas we will continue the series on the Bible, look at good arguments for believing there is a God --and more specifically the God of the Bible-- and then we will look at some scientific evidence that supports our belief in God and creation. We will end the year with a lesson on putting on the armor of God with the encouragement to share what they have learned with others. There's lots to learn so please come and join us on Saturday evenings at 6:00 p.m. in room 171 or Sundays at the 8:45 and 10:45 service hours in the SHED rooms B5-B6.
All incoming 7th grade parents (current 6th grade parents) are invited to our “Welcome to Jr. High” dinner on Tuesday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the SHED Café. Please join Michael and the Jr. High leaders to connect about the coming year for you and your student. Please RSVP by Friday, May 25 to Shiloh at ext. 317 or sharling@4fbc.org.
